A Covervault alternative, in the browser
Covervault's free Photoshop book mockups are gone. DudeCovers does the job in the browser, from your own file, with no Photoshop.
Free to start. No signup to try. Nothing stamped on your exports.

Why people look for a Covervault alternative
For years Covervault was where self-publishers went for free book mockups: Photoshop files with smart objects, one per angle and trim, plus box sets and e-readers. It has since shut down, and its old address no longer points to the mockups. If it was in your bookmarks, take it out.
DudeCovers does the same job without Photoshop. You drop the full wrap or the KDP PDF into the browser, and the book is built from it: the spine sized from your artwork, your trim, paperback, hardback or dust jacket. Instead of a file per angle, you drag the book to any angle you want.
Then you can go further than a PSD did: lit 3D shelves and a bookshop bay, a new releases table, photo scenes where your book lies on the table at the room's angle, wear for a copy that's been read, and launch graphics on the same canvas.
No PSDs, any angle

Covervault alternative features
The spine from your own file
Drop in the full wrap you sent to the printer, or the KDP cover PDF. The spine is sized from the artwork, so its title lands where it's printed, and the trim and bleed come from the file.
A real 3D book you turn yourself
Not a cover warped onto a photo at one angle: drag the book round to the spine, the page edges and the back.
Every edition from one file
Paperback, hardback with a rounded spine, or a dust jacket with flaps. 23 trim sizes, white or cream paper, matte or gloss, new, read or well loved.
3D sets with real light
A library shelf, a bookshop bay with a staff-pick card, a new releases table with piles of your book, a home bookshelf. Daylight, a lamp or evening sun, through a window, blinds or leaves.
Photo scenes that fit the room
A reading room, a nightstand, a café, a windowsill, a writer's desk. Your book lies or stands on the table at the room's own angle and casts its shadow, and you drag it round.
Launch graphics on the same canvas
Headlines, staff-pick notes, review quotes and badges typed on the image, rain or paint over it, your name as a watermark, and sizes for Amazon A+, BookBub and social.

Straight answers.
- Is Covervault still online?
- No. The site has shut down, and its old address now goes elsewhere, so don't download files that claim to be its mockups from mirrors: their licence is unclear.
- Do I need Photoshop for DudeCovers?
- No. It runs in the browser. Drop in your cover and export a PNG, JPEG or WebP.
