DudeCovers opens: your cover on a real 3D book
The book studio, the scenes and the site went live on 1 October, two days after the first 3D book came off the bench.
A real 3D book from your print file
Drop in your full wrap or KDP cover PDF and the studio builds the book: the spine sized from your artwork, the trim read from the PDF, page edges in white or cream, matte or gloss. It turns right round to the back.
3D book mockupsPaperback, hardback and dust jacket
One file, three bindings: a softcover, a hardback with boards, hinge and rounded spine, or a jacket with its flaps folded inside. New, read or well loved.
Dust jacketsShelves, a bookshop and a new releases table
Four sets built in 3D, with daylight, lamp or evening light through a window, blinds or leaves. The other books on them are made up.

Six real looking rooms: lay your book on the table or stand it up, drag it round, and it casts its shadow from the room's light.
Photo scenesSizes for book stores
Amazon A+ header (970 × 600), an ebook store cover (1600 × 2560) and the BookBub ad, next to the social sizes.
Guides and a spine width calculator
How KDP works out a spine, with a calculator that gives the whole cover size and opens the studio at your trim and page count.
Spine width calculator4 smaller changes
- Books in photo scenes sit on the table: a darker line where the book touches it
- A KDP file on a dust jacket shows the right front cover (the flaps take the cover's edge colour)
- The windowsill's light no longer blows out white covers
- The try-it-free note names the scene you're in
