What the bookshop does

Seeing your book face out in a shop is the moment most authors picture. For a launch post, a newsletter or a pitch to a bookseller, a bookshop picture says this book is real and it's in the world.

The bookshop in DudeCovers is a 3D bay: shelves of made-up books, price strips along the edges, and your book face out at eye level with a handwritten staff pick card beside it. Shop green, black or oak shelves; daylight, lamp or evening light; and a camera you can move along the bay or step back from.

For a table display there's the new releases table, with piles of your book and one copy on a stand, and a bookshop photo scene where the book stands on a real shop table. None of it pretends to be a particular shop, so it's fine to post anywhere.

Straight answers.

Can I change the staff pick card?
The card's handwriting is fixed. Add your own words on the picture with a callout, for example a tape sticker or a note.
Is it a real shop?
No. The bay is built in 3D and the other books are made up, so the picture never claims a shop stocks your book.
Can I show my book in piles?
Yes, on the new releases table set: piles of your book and one copy on a stand.
Is it free?
Yes, to start, with no account and no watermark: the 3D paperback and hardback, turned up to 45° either way, exported at up to twice the size. Pro adds the full turn to the back, the dust jacket, read and well loved copies, the scenes and three times the size. You can try every Pro option on the canvas first; the export then carries a small preview tape.
