What the home bookshelf does
A library shelf says the book is out in the world. A shelf at home says somebody chose it, which is the picture for reader posts, gift guides and the it's arrived photos people share.
The home bookshelf in DudeCovers is a 3D set: two shelves of made-up books, bookends, a plant, and your book face out, spine out or pulled out from the row. White, oak or walnut shelves, and light from a window, through blinds or through leaves, so the shadows fall across the spines the way they do on a real afternoon.
Turn the camera along the shelf, come in close on your book, or step back to show the room. The other books are made up, with invented titles and authors, so nobody else's work ends up in your picture.

Straight answers.
- What's the difference from the library shelf?
- The home shelf is lighter and smaller, with bookends and a plant. The library is long rows of books with library labels.
- Can I change the plant or bookends?
- Not yet. Shuffle the other books to change the colours round yours.
- Are the other books real?
- No, they're made up, with invented titles and authors.
- Is it free?
- Yes, to start, with no account and no watermark: the 3D paperback and hardback, turned up to 45° either way, exported at up to twice the size. Pro adds the full turn to the back, the dust jacket, read and well loved copies, the scenes and three times the size. You can try every Pro option on the canvas first; the export then carries a small preview tape.
