What the 3d book video does
A moving book stops the scroll in a way a still mockup doesn't. A slow turn for a launch day reel, the book spinning round to show its back cover for a preorder story, a few seconds of it on a plinth at the top of your Amazon A+ content: it's the kind of clip people usually pay a video editor for, or build in After Effects.
In DudeCovers it's one more step. Make your book as you would for a still, with its own cover file, trim, binding and page count, then open Video. Pick how it moves: a slow turn from side to side, a gentle sway, a full spin that shows the spine and the back cover, or a turn to the back and home again. Set the length, press play to see it on the canvas, and download it as an MP4.
The video starts and ends at the angle you set, so it loops cleanly on Instagram and TikTok. Put the book on a round or square plinth in white, black or oak, standing on the floor with a soft shadow round it, or leave it in one of the 3D scenes: on a library shelf the camera turns along the shelf with your book in it. It's made on your own computer, so your cover never leaves it.

Straight answers.
- Is the 3D book video free?
- Playing it on the canvas is free, so you can see every move on your own book. Downloading the video is part of Pro (${BOOKS_YEAR_PRICE} a year, ${BOOKS_PRICE} a month, or ${BOOKS_LIFETIME_PRICE} once for Lifetime).
- What format is the video?
- MP4 (H.264), which plays everywhere: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Amazon and email. WebM is there too, smaller, for websites. 30 frames a second, at the canvas size you pick.
- How long can it be?
- 3 to 15 seconds. Six to eight is about right for one turn in a reel; it loops cleanly, so a short one plays well round and round.
- Can I add music or text?
- The video has no sound, so add music in Instagram or TikTok, where you can use their licensed tracks. Callouts and your watermark on the canvas are in the video.
- Can my series turn together?
- A single book turns for now. A series or box set in a video is coming next.
