Dust jacket mockup, flaps and all, online

What the dust jacket mockup does
Almost every dust jacket mockup online is a Photoshop file: download the PSD, find the smart object, paste your artwork, hope the flaps line up. That's a lot of steps for one picture, and you need Photoshop to take them.
In DudeCovers the jacket is a binding, next to paperback and hardback. The jacket sits over the boards, a touch looser than a printed case, and its flaps fold round inside the front and back covers. Turn the book and you see the fold at the fore edge, the way a jacketed book looks on a table.
Use your jacket artwork as one full wrap (back flap, back, spine, front, front flap) or your cover on its own, and the flaps take the colour of the edges. It's a Pro option: try it on the canvas free, and the export carries a small preview tape until you go Pro.
Round the back, and on the shelf

Dust jacket mockup features
Flaps that fold
Inside the boards, front and back, so the fore edge shows the jacket's fold.
Gloss or matte jacket
Most jackets are gloss. Matte is there for the soft touch editions.
Spin to the back
Show the back of the jacket and the edge of the flap (Pro).
Shelves and shops
A jacketed hardback looks at home in the library and bookshop sets.
Straight answers.
- What file do I need for a dust jacket?
- The jacket's full wrap is best: both flaps, the back, the spine and the front in one image. A front cover alone works too.
- Is there a PSD to download?
- No, and you don't need one. It's all in the browser.
- Can I show the book without the jacket?
- Yes: switch the binding to hardback for the bare case.
- Is it free?
- Yes, to start, with no account and no watermark: the 3D paperback and hardback, turned up to 45° either way, exported at up to twice the size. Pro adds the full turn to the back, the dust jacket, read and well loved copies, the scenes and three times the size. You can try every Pro option on the canvas first; the export then carries a small preview tape.
